Prof. Amélie Boutin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Université Laval, and in the Reproduction, Mother and Youth Health & Population Health and Optimal Health Practices Units, CHU de Québec-Université Laval Research Center. She is the recipient of a Junior 1 Research Award from the Fonds de Recherche du Québec – Santé.

Prof. Boutin received a B.Sc. in Multidisciplinary Studies in Science (in medical, perinatal and psychology fields) from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and a MSc and a PhD in Epidemiology from the Université Laval. She also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Perinatal Epidemiology at the University of British Columbia and Children’s and Women’s Hospital of British Columbia, Vancouver

Prof. Boutin is a perinatal epidemiologist whose research interests include concepts and methods in perinatal epidemiology, maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity, evaluation of quality and accessibility of perinatal health care services, and preventive perinatal health interventions, among others.
