The metabolomics platform and bioanalytical services are aimed at the absolute quantification of metabolites in tissues, cells, culture media and biological fluids based on targeted mass spectrometry. Our 25 years of expertise in this field is focused on oncology, endocrinology and pharmacology.
The groups of Professors Chantal Guillemette and Olivier Barbier, both from the Faculty of Pharmacy and whose laboratories are located at the Centre de recherche du CHU de Québec, have developed expertise notably in the fields of steroid hormones, bile acids and drug metabolism, as well as many other metabolites.
The platform provides support for research support, training, as well as metabolomics and mass spectrometry bioanalytical services to undergraduate and graduate students, university researchers as well as research and development companies.
The diversity of hormone assays such as steroids and bile acids, as well as their quantification in various biological fluids, culture media and tissues, are among the most distinctive strengths of our research teams.
The many years of experience of our teams and research professionals in the field offer great flexibility and an unrivalled ability to carry out the development and validation of assay and sample analysis methods on a large-scale routine basis, particularly from R&D, clinical and pre-clinical studies.
