We can assist you in the structural analysis of your molecules of interest using different cutting-edge technologies such as nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), mass spectrometry (LRMS), infrared analysis (FTIR) and purity analysis (HPLC). We have a Bruker Ascend-300 MHz NMR device. We can record spectra to assist you in determining an unknown molecular structure or in the more complete characterization of a molecule.
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectrum
The laboratory has a Bruker 300 MHz NMR which allows different experiments such as:
- Routine 1H NMR and 13C NMR (APT)
- 2D experience (NOESY, COZY, HSQC, HMBC, ROESY, TOCSY)
- NMR of heteroatoms: 11B, 31P, 19F, Other nuclei on request
- High temperature experiments
Mass Spectrum (LRMS)
The laboratory has a LCMS-2020 mass spectrometer from Shimadzu. The device is equipped with DUIS and APCI probes allowing the ionization of a wide variety of products. In addition to assisting medicinal chemistry laboratory professionals in their research, we can offer a mass determination service.
HPLC purity
The laboratory has a Prominence liquid chromatography device from Shimadzu with UV detector. The system is coupled to an LCMS-2020 mass spectrometer. It is therefore possible for us to offer purity analyzes either by UV detection or by mass detection. This service, adapted to the specific needs of applicants, is offered to researchers at the CRCHU de Québec as well as to external researchers.

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrum
- H NMR: $35/sample; APT $70/hour (maximum of 3 hours billed);
- D experience: $80 maximum of 3 hours billed per sample for acquisition and $70/hour for processing.*
Mass Spectrum (LRMS)
- Mass analyses: $35; price for more than 10 samples $20*
HPLC purity
- HPLC-MS purity analyses: $100; price for more than 10 samples $50*
