Fundamental, translational, and clinical research conducted within the Reproduction, Maternal and Child Health (RSME) program aims to address complex questions shaping our future. This program brings together internationally renowned research teams working in reproduction, neonatology, perinatal care, and pediatrics.

Skilled in interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity, the researchers, postdoctoral fellows, research professionals, as well as students and trainees within the program employ cutting-edge experimental approaches. These include the use of experimental models, imaging, cellular and molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, epidemiology, clinical research, technology and practice evaluation, and knowledge translation. Their work encompasses the fundamental study of disease pathophysiology, clinical approaches for prevention or treatment, biomarker identification, and studies on social and environmental impacts.
