The medicinal chemistry platform of the CHU de Québec-Université LavalResearch Center brings together the expertise of Professors Donald Poirier, Éric Biron, Nicolas Bertrand, René C. Gaudreault and Sébastien Fortin as well as that of the Organic Synthesis Service team. Our platform’s mission is to develop new drugs and create innovative molecular research tools for the purposes of studies conducted by doctors, pharmacologists and molecular biologists (see activity diagram). The different members of the platform pool their expertise and research facilities (synthesis laboratory, culture room, biological evaluation methodology and molecular modeling system, etc.) in order to offer services to the community of researchers.
