Data production can reach up to 20,000 million (M) paired-end reads per sequencing run; the NovaSeq 6000 has the capacity to sequence 2 flowcells at the same time. Read lengths can vary between 50 and 250 base pairs. There are 4 types of flowcells (SP, S1, S2, and S4) with data production rates per sequencing lane ranging from 400 to 2,500 million paired-end reads.
