Research Contracts Office

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Clinical Research, this office is part of the Research Centre Management team, under the administrative responsibility of the Head of Clinical Research Service.

The research contract specialists oversee the implementation of agreements with our external partners. They ensure the protection not only of the Institution, but also of the researcher and the user and their information, where applicable.

They ensure that agreements comply with applicable laws and standards, internal policies and procedures, and the obligations of the parties. They also liaise with Université Laval as needed to ensure compliance with the affiliation contract.

The Research Contrats Office is responsible for all research agreements and contracts between CHU de Québec- Université Laval and its various partners. It is also responsible for assessing contractual suitability.

The Research contract specialists :

Analyze;
Draft;
Revise;
Negotiate;
Monitor and amend research agreements/contracts;
Ensure the signature process of the various agreements.

They also:

Advise;
Accompany;
Collaborate with stakeholders, clinicians, researchers and coordinators in complex situations requiring
contractual research commitments;
Liaise with Université Laval (as needed).
