Neurologist specializing in cerebrovascular diseases at the CHU de Québec, Dr. Ariane Mackey (MD FRCP) is also an associate professor of medicine at Laval University. Alongside her neurologist colleagues in the neurovascular team, Dr. Steve Verreault, Dr. Marie-Christine Camden, and Dr. Stéphanie Gosselin-Lefebvre, she actively participates in the review and conduct of large-scale multicenter clinical studies as a local principal investigator or co-investigator for over 25 years.

These studies primarily focus on the treatment of acute-phase stroke (such as thrombolysis and thrombectomy), management of cerebral hemorrhages, stroke prevention, and asymptomatic carotid stenoses. The results of these studies sometimes lead to rapid modifications in practice guidelines on these subjects.
