The multi-mode imager allows densitometric analysis of various samples such as autoradiograms, photos, colored gels, etc. This service mainly uses the technology of a membrane sensitive to radioactivity such as PhosphorImager for gels, TLC and other types of samples. Very accurate laser scanning produces an image with 65,535 different shades of gray for each 200 micron pixel. The removal of background noise and the adjustment of the local contrast of the elements of interest are carried out using the ImageQuant TL software.
