The uCT eXplore Locus System 80 small animal CT system enables small animal imaging achieving resolution ranges typically of 20, 50, or 100 microns, depending on the acquisition field and the intensity of data reconstruction digital. The device allows studies of blood perfusion and reconstruction of microvascularization in small animals, using contrast products based on iodine or gold. The laboratory has extensive expertise in the field of tissue density measurement, including bone, contour studies of objects and artifacts with density variants, and three-dimensional imaging of objects obtained by additive manufacturing (3D printing) for a correlation with the original numbers (i.e. reconciliation studies of the sizing of 3D printing parts).
