Eric Poulin received his MSc in imaging from Sherbrooke University in 2011 and his PhD in medical physics from Laval University in 2015. He then moved to the CHUM in Montreal for a medical physics residency in radiation therapy. He finished his residency at CHU de Québec – Université Laval in 2017, where he is now employed as a medical clinical physicist. He obtained his CCPM certification in 2018. Dr. Poulin is an associate professor at Laval University and has participated in the CAMPEP graduate program since 2016. He has been serving on the Board of the Association Québécoise des physiciens médicaux cliniques (AQPMC) since 2018.

Dr. Poulin was responsible for the integration of the MRI in the radiation oncology department at CHU de Québec – Université Laval. He is CHU de Québec – Université Laval’s lead physicist for the MR-Linac Consortium and responsible for the integration of Unity in clinical practice. Dr. Poulin has research grants with Varian and Siemens. He mentors graduate students and residents. He has 18 peer-reviewed manuscripts and 35 refereed abstracts at national and international meetings.

Dr. Poulin is involved in three main research tracks: 1) brachytherapy, 2) MRI, and 3) MRgRT.
