Au terme du plus récent concours des Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada (IRSC), 9 chercheurs du Centre de recherche du CHU de Québec-Université Laval se sont vu accorder des subventions du programme Projet, pour un total de plus de 7,6 millions de dollars.

Ces investissements permettront à nos chercheurs ainsi qu’à leurs équipes de poursuivre leurs travaux, contribuant certainement à ce que notre centre conserve sa position de plus important centre de recherche francophone en Amérique du Nord.

Les chercheurs qui se sont vu attribuer une subvention sont les suivants :

Patrick Couture – 531 674 $ pour le projet Differential effects of saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids on chylomicron secretion and the expression of key genes that regulate intestinal lipid metabolism in insulin-resistant subjects

Paul R. Fortin – 416 280 $ pour le projet Mapping anti-mitochondrial antibodies in systemic lupus erythematosus

Steve Lacroix – 929 475 $ pour le projet Manipulating the neuroimmune response to promote spinal cord repair

Abid Oueslati – 726 750 $ pour le projet Unveiling the role of alpha-synuclein clustering and Lewy body formation in Parkinson’s disease pathogenesis using an optogenetic-mediated protein aggregation system
