Jean-Pierre Grégoire is a Scientist with the Population Health and Optimal Health Practices Research Unit at the CHU de Québec-Laval University Research Center. He is also a Professor and a former Dean (2006-2011) at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Laval University. Professor Grégoire is a former President of the Quebec Order of Pharmacists (1993-1995) and of the Canadian Council for the Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (2000). He is on the Evaluation Commission of the “Conférence des Doyens de Facultés de Pharmacie d’expression Française” (CIDPHARMEF) for which he has led several external assessments of Faculties of Pharmacy in France, Africa, and Asia.
Professor Grégoire is a Fellow of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology and of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.
Optimal use of drugs
In recent years, his research has focused on the optimization of drug use in chronic diseases such as hypertension, heart failure, diabetes, and schizophrenia. He has published extensively on the issue of non-adherence to drug treatments.
