About Us

CHU de Québec Tissue Engineering Platform offers a customized and experienced service of cell culture, production of reconstructed tissues and analysis of derived samples.

About the platform

  • More than thirty years of experience in tissue engineering.
  • Modern facilities of 4700 m2.
  • One of the most recognized center in tissue and organ reconstruction in Canada.
  • Clean rooms (class B, ISO 7) equipped for cell culture and used for clinical studies.

The advantages ot tissue engineering

Many in vitro models are available on the market, but those offered by our platform have the advantages of being produced in a controlled environment, to be of human origin, to be entirely biological (no exogenous materials) and to respond to their environment. Because of these features, our models present the advantage of being much more alike in vivo reality. Those models can be employed at different stages of research (fundamental or preclinical) in order to study different parameters such as toxicity, efficacy or mechanism of action of a treatment.
