Animal Health Technicians (AHTs) possess specific training to work with laboratory animals in compliance with various standards and committees (CCPA, CPAUL, DSV).
They also have the knowledge, expertise, and technical skills necessary to perform multiple procedures. This ensures the improvement of efficiency, reliability, and validity of research results.
AHTs can assist you with colony management, surgeries, tissue collections, blood sampling, necropsies, anesthesia, treatments, and training.
The fees associated with these services are on an hourly basis and billed in 15-minute blocks. Any request for technical service must be received by the Tuesday of the preceding week of the activity.
Procedure for requesting technical assistance:
- Complete FORM-CHU-021 Demande d’assistance technique
- Send it jointly to Mélanie Simard and France Duclos.
* In case of cancellation of a technical assistance request, a cancellation fee will be charged based on the time spent on the case (minimum 15 minutes).
