Arnaud Droit (Director)

Dr Arnaud Droit, associate professor at the Department of molecular medicine of the Faculty of medicine of Laval University, runs the Bioinformatics service. He holds the L’Oréal Research and Innovation Chair on Numerical Biology, and he leads numerous projects on the analysis of ‘omics’ datasets as well as research projects on machine learning applied to biological datasets.

Specialised in Linux/Unix server administration, Adrien developed his expertise as a consultant for the major accounts of Fujitsu Canada. He is the system administrator, technological architect, and information security officer for the bioinformatics service. He is in charge of the network and hardware infrastructure of the Bioinformatics service.

Bioinformatician by trade, Éric is in charge of multiple software development projects, including a LIMS for the Proteomics Platform and specialised R libraries for the treatment of chromosome conformation data. He excels at extracting valuable information from biological data, especially data from high-throughput sequencing.

In charge of the bioinformatics support for the Proteomics Platform, Frederic manages the servers and workstations used for proteomics data analysis. He is involved in the development of tools and methodologies for proteomics data analysis.

Equiped with a valuable experience of exome sequencing acquired at the laboratories of the World Health Organization, Maxime is in charge of the bioinformatics support for the Next Generation Sequencing service. He leads the analysis of the huge datasets of the PERSPECTIVE project (on breast cancer) and of the PRISMES project (on rare and orphan diseases).
